People from throughout the Pacific North and Central Coast and Haida Gwaii have voiced their support for Bill C-48 and a permanent ban on large oil tankers along this this fragile and ecologically unique coastline.

With the oil tanker ban finally law, we can turn our attention to building a healthy, sustainable coastal economy; one that recognizes the needs of all future generations.
CFN-GBI supports the federal government’s request that the Senate pass Bill C-48, the Oil Tanker Moratorium Act, in its amended form so that northern BC waters will be safe from oil spills.
