A new video from the Marine Plan Partnership (MaPP) highlights the ongoing efforts in collaborative marine planning for the waters of the North Pacific Coast.
Showcasing the spectacular nature of the region, the video demonstrates the collaborative planning that has already been undertaken by MaPP in its first phase. This includes data collection from Coastal Guardian Watchmen, efforts to monitor ecosystems that support a wide array of biodiversity, including ecologically and culturally important species, and extensive stakeholder engagement between First Nations and provincial leaders who are working together to protect, conserve and manage this precious shared resource.
The video also touches on the next stage for MaPP, which is poised to move into its second phase of implementation with the goal of creating positive change in coastal communities and ocean health.
