Urge Canada’s federal government to enact the Oil Tanker Moratorium Act

Communities throughout BC’s Central and North Coast and Haida Gwaii have the most at stake if a major oil spill occurred in our coastal waters. It’s our responsibility to ensure that future generations – our children and grandchildren – are left with healthy lands and waters, and a sustainable coastal economy.

Coastal First Nations has submitted an e-petition to Canada’s federal government to ensure a full and permanent ban on oil tankers in our territories.

Please sign and share our petition and urge this government to do what it promised during the election, and pass Bill C-48, the Oil Tanker Moratorium Act.
