About the Wuikinuxv Nation

The Wuikinuxv Nation’s traditional territory surrounds present-day Rivers Inlet on the Central Coast, extending from the Koeye River to Cranston Point to the head of Wuikinuxv Lake. The Wuikinuxv people have lived in these coastal homelands for tens of thousands of years, and have always believed that caring for the lands and waters is their responsibility—a belief that remains deeply instilled in their culture today.
