Governance
Our Mandate
CFN works to protect the cultural and natural resources of its member Nations, promoting economic self-sufficiency and sustainable development throughout the North and Central Coast and Haida Gwaii.
Our Leadership
The Great Bear Initiative Society operates under the direction of a Board of Directors, with one representative from each of the member Nations, and an Executive Committee that meets regularly to review administrative issues and monitor project work.
At our Vancouver offices, core staff support the Board and Executive Committee with the following:
- Strategic project planning support
- Assistance in developing economic strategies
- Support for community capacity-building
- Financial management
